The Koala Hospital is staffed entirely by volunteers and is open every day. They provide tours of the complex, and aim to educate the public about koalas and the dangers facing them.

This reserve is one of the oldest established parks in the state. Port Macquarie is surrounded by some beautiful natural areas suitable for bush walking, picnics and BBQs.

The museum is set in a historical house built by convicts in 1836. It contains over 20,000 items including artifacts from local aboriginal tribes and the early settlers from the 1700s and 1800s.

This quaint little place makes a variety of herbal tonics. It is open to the public and quite interesting, containing a small exhibition of 20th century kitchen utensils, garden, wildlife refuge and cafe.
